Genervations Epic

I'm starting to get a few heifers out of this bull, after several bull calves. Our oldest Epic has just been weaned and she looks solidly built. Had a visitor a few days ago pick her out as a favourite. Has anyone else used this bull? How are your Epic daughters comparing to similar aged heifers?

Re: Genervations Epic

Sandy Valley posted a pic of their first fresh one here - https://www.facebook.com/340355645989352/photos/a.340838112607772.85526.340355645989352/752426654782247/?type=1&theater

I have none my self but the ones that I have seen appear very correct, and wide through the muzzle and rump.

Re: Genervations Epic

Thanks for the link Northcreek. I am curious how the Epics will turn out. We only have a few, but have used some Epic sons as well.

The first will calve in a month, and I agree with Northcreek's assessment. Correct with width to the rump.

We have an Epic heifer from Goldwyn Theresa. She is just springing up now and looks promising. Excited to see how she develops.

I am having terrible luck getting Epic pregnancies. He is high SCR, but is just one of those bulls that isn't working for me.

Re:

We had two Epic heifers, some early on ones. The one we had trouble getting pregnant, but that heifer showed a lot of width. The other one was a granddaughter of Goldwyn Layla who we found frail and didn't have enough depth and spring of rib
