Photo manipulation

I have raised the topic before, and I will raise it again. Too much photoshop, not enough cow. We only allow toplines, nose-rings and the occasional offside teat in the wrong place to be removed.

I have noticed more and more rear shots of cows coming from the US with severe photoshopping to change their tailhead & rump, but this new one takes the cake.

Seems a rather suspicious gap where her belly should be...

Re: Photo manipulation

Daughter photos are a joke. I rarely even look at them any more.

I have said this before but in one catalogue I flicked through the same rear udder was photoshopped on to at least two other cows. It was pretty easy to pick up. And like the photo above the cow didn't look right.

A few years back we had a pic taken of one of our cows and the resulting pic was almost unrecognizable to the cow we were milking.

Its a complete joke. Id much rather see a picture of a cow in her working clothes any day.
But really are we that naïve, everyone should know by now what the ai companies are like

The reason I raise the topic is that we do very limited changes to photos. Its just not right. Other companies seem to not care. emoticon

The only thing a professional picture tells today with any degree of truth is the color markings.

Genus ( ABS to those of you over the pond) won me back as a customer by doing just that, with reps using their mobile phones to snap test daughters.
But why just blame AI companies? When our big shows like the NEC and Great Yorkshire started to employ vets to stop faking what support was thre from Holstien UK, they went off in a huff and set up a 'fake' show which I think is next week, not that I will be going.
