Bertaiola Mincio

I have about 6 Mincio calves and I really like them. Very strong, square calves with a bit of length to their frame and strong loins.

I was talking to a guy recently who had a lot of them and he described them exactly the same way. He really liked his too.

I have two ET bulls by Mincio and really like them. Have a few baby calves, they are only a few weeks old but I'm happy so far.

posticon Re: Bertaiola Mincio

I saw some milkers last year in Italy, nice cows, with a clean bone to them and high wide rear udders.
I have been to the farm where he was bred and saw several family members big powerful cows.
I really like the calves I have seen too.
Hopefully he doesn't crash like some Italian bulls of recent times!!

Have a couple coming up to bulling, both are tall stylish heifers (just as the proof says) may be too much so for my commercial farm but very pleasing on the eye.

We have a dozen or so Mincio Calves, oldest is around 13 months old and about to bull, we have liked the calves from the start and used him again sexed, like the width across the rumps, anmd always carry a little more condition than average.

My Mincio's are milking now. They have beautiful udders.

When we classified recently one of my best heifers was a Mincio that scored VG87(2yr). I had another couple that were GP84(2yr). Both of them were just a bit too straight legged to go VG. But they have very few other faults, awesome rear udders.

If his protein was better I would use him again. I might anyway on my better protein testing cows.

Really nice young cows and very consistent.
