Are you using Supersire or will you use him Bazza? Curious to know your thinking on Supersire. He seams your ideal sort of bull.

Can't get supersire here without paying though the nose. $80 conventional $125 sexed. Supply will be limited.

Supersire has plenty of good traits but every time I chase bulls with average or below fertility I regret it eventually so ill give him a miss. Will probably have plenty of sons that interest me. Plus as craiglea pointed out he is too expensive here anyway.

I always worry with Bulls with that much milk and average udder values will those udders last beyond three lactations ? Would like to use him, just not sure. Any thoughts?

Supersire is priced retail $60 here and they won't go under $40 for me so I'll stop with him for now. I'm sure once the glow of the first daughter proof rubs off he'll come down some.

I have 17 daughters now, first one fresh in September. I think he'll work great on my crossbreds.

Hook me up JonnyLungs,

They are charging me $100 retail for supersire, mccutchen, and mogul! I'd be lucky to get him for $70.
I'm just glad I used all of them before when you could get them for $20-$30.

A couple months after breeding some of my cows to Supersire I wasn't sure if I made the right choice typewise... But now they are definetly my best calves!! Aggresive , big heifers, still not sure about udders , specialy texture that is not very good on genomics of those heifers.

Supersire's were our best calves too, but I do not like them as much as yearlings, they are just ok type-wise. Concerned about their feet and legs.

Have 1 milking that we really like, medium size, feminine, wide rear udder with great udder shape. Am hearing about inconsistencies in his type pattern, some set legged ones, or too much udder. I think genomics pegged him nuts on, but was used in the wrong places because he was the #1 bull, IMO. Have heard people like the type of Headliner better, but at 3.23 SCC, kind of a fatal flaw.
