I am looking for suggestions
My overall goal is to have strong feet and legs, style, well-attached udders and positive milk traits. I am struggling to find available sires to use on the herd without Shottle or Goldwyn who would offer the style I want. I am finding a lot of sires are already crossed to Shottle more than once.

Re: Suggestions for Type
I have 3 McCutchens. 2 are short bred the other ready to breed. I was turning out our heifers to graze for the summer the other day. 2 of the McCutchens are amongst my poorest heifers. Really tall with no chest width or depth of rib. Both front legs coming out of the same hole. Awful.
I think McCutchen is the new BW Marshall. I won't be using any bull with McCutchen in his pedigree.
Other outcross options.
Sully Hart Meridian (relative of McCutchen!). My Semex rep did a dvd of his recent trip to Canada. The milking Meridians were extremely impressive. Awesome udders. He has no components but a ton of milk. His granddam or 3dam is probably a Shottle though.
I milk a few Sudans. They are never going to be show cows but they are all going to make solid VG or even EX mature cows. Not fancy but rugged no nonsense cows with great fat test.

Re: Suggestions for Type
Penn-England Dispence
(Jeeves x Toystory x Finley)
High milk with great fertility and longevity a Dellia bull as well.
Bomaz (Alta) Phonic
(Man-O-Man x Nifty x Lynch)
Not the best type bull but he has a different kind of maternal line.
Springway Celebrate
(Man-O-Man x Boliver x Addison)
High milk with balanced type and not bad health traits he looks like a bull for Shottle.
Ovina Juletta Junior
(Freddie x Toystory x Boliver)
Low type very high milk with great health traits needs better components.
OCD Stargazer
(Superstition x Elegant x Durham)
High production with great udders his health traits look ok as well.
K-Star Latroy
(Man-O-Man x Toystory x Stormatic)
A well balanced bull that has made some smart daughters.
Sildahl Jet Air
(Baxter x BW Marshall x Manfred)
A very useful bull should work well with Shottle.
Clear-Echo (Alta) R2
(Marion x Ramos x Hershel)
Marion son that has great health traits with high production.
Morningview (Alta) Toyota
(Toystory x Finley x Durham)
High production average type and health traits.

Re:
I was thinking of a few more bulls during the week :
7HO012198 KINGBOY McCutchen x Super x Shottle is throwing some really fancy calves
29HO016955 MONTEREY McCutchen x Robust x Zenith Very excited about the early heifers of this bull , very good feets and legs and from Supersire family. High type + High production = winner
29HO014737 AIRGON Jeeves x Lou x Oman An outcross sire with great type.
250HO01146 LUMINEER Numero Uno x Snowman x Planet Probably the best UNO son for type
200HO10147 SOCHI Elaborate x Lavanguard x FBI. Elite type but crap health traits and NM$. Production still OK. He looks like an outstanding individual.
200HO06642 INTEGRAL *RC Sympatico x Shottle x Goldwyn . He is Doorman's brother and also red carrier with high UDC
200HO10211 CHAMP-P Ladd-P x Super x Shottle . A polled Ladd-P son with high type and ideal health traits.
200HO10222 MEGAWATT Enforcer x Bradnick x Goldwyn. From Gold Missy's Family with great all-over profile and a different pedigree

Re:
Errolston - you should probably consider Kingboy though. I have not touched McCutchen myself, as the lack of chest concerned me. But I think McCutchen over Super (just went 91, 2nd calf I believe) and then a 94 pt Shottle, I think there's plenty of strength behind this bull.

Re:
I just did a search on dairybulls.com, with the requirements of the bull must be over 500 lbs in milk, positive for components, with a PL above 3, and had type, FL and udder above 2 pts. Basically looking at bulls that are all-around positive for all traits.
Only 5 proven bulls came up - Dorcy, and 4 Dorcy sons.

Re: Suggestions for Type
Mccutchen has very strong chest width at +14 he could probably do with more body depth to compensate. He would of been a great bull for Lee daughters I wonder if there are any Mccutchen daughters with Jasper blood behind them.
Mr Donalynn Millenium would be my pick for a Mccutchen son with lots of type and strength.

What about a Windbrook son like Louiselle Equation he has great type with no Shottle Goldwyn or Durham u could use him in lots of places

From everything I have heard about McCutchen, many of them are frail.
