Durham, modern pedigree??

Durham sons are about the newest bulls I use. After Durham the breed went genomics, only the numbers improved. For the rest do our setups and breeding phylosophies differ that much that a discussion is useless (as we've proven last few years :-). I don't think there are many better bulls then the few I mention in my list after careful selection. I'm happy with them.

Your time lines are up the crapper. I'm not sure how Durham a bull born 22 years ago is modern. And genomics came well after Durham.

That's a great result
Haven't used him long enough to pregnancy scan yet, hopefully know better in a month's time. He is positive for sire conception rates, this is something that needs to be looked at when ordering semen especially in the current climate.

Re: I have in the Tank...

I was happy with my 10 doses of Kingpin(63), used him on cows and had good conception though that is a small sample size and used High Octane(56) on more heifers cause he cost more and conception wasn't supposed to be great but he had good conception also. We also had good luck with Lumineer and his rating in Canada(58) isn't great but our salesman has heard lots of positive comments about his conception have 6 heifers by him on the ground.

I just put their CDN fertility rankings in brackets to see how it changes tomorrow. I remember seeing a chart before with the SCR sorted by bullcode and Select was really good, Semex was decent and ABS was bad, wish I could remember where it was.
