Andy Warne response to HUK comments at the delegate conference

Some of our AI/ht farmer owned coops have been taken over by either genetics australia or ABS.the company we deal with is still independant.each one of these coops/companies has a different program to store information and Im thinikng none are compatible as it aways seems a hassle to get all the data transfered if you buy a cow from another system. The hfaa downloads data several times a year but their offical pedigrees allways seem out of date.

Ditto! We've been on Holstein Complete for a while now, always been with CIS, never had a problem.

Andy Warne,

I am more than a little surprised that you have chosen the medium of an internet message board to air your grievances over huk's response to questions put to the delegates meeting from breeders clubs. with repect to fellow cowtalkers I would of thought that you could of found a more professional way to get your point across.Have you approached the OFT etc?

From the point of view of huk members I can see why people are upset about holstein complete. Those that choose to stay with NMR should be able to have that option without being penalised and treated as second class citizens by huk.
A breed society should be run for the benefit of all members and not on two tiers. If huk cannot provide a competitive milk recording service without taking money from the pockets of the general membership it should pack in sooner rather than later.

So my message to NMR is put up or shut up and to HUK stop robbing peter to pay paul and do the right thing for your membership .
