The Ayrshire herd went to Wales this summer , and teh youngatock have gone too.

Apparantly this was on the advice of land agents ( Strutt and Parker?).

Ah well , hindsight is a great thing!

Have I got the right end of the stick here? Are the EU proposing to increase quota so that by the time it's up for review in 2013 it will be irrelevant, therefore there will be no need for compensation?

IF there is a world shortage of milk then why should production be limited by quotas, much the same as setaside going now there is a shortage of cereals.

General consensus must be that it ain't going to be relevant. Potter has quota back at less than 2ppl again, having jumped to 5p when the milk price rises were announced. On the recently traded page is a deal on 200,000l @ [sign in to see URL], unless it's a typo, that's £20 for the hassle. Would it pay the commission?
