Hello Cowtalkers

emoticon Hi my name is John, i live in N Ireland, I milk 120 pedigree Holsteins under the prefix of Ballyginniff. I have two teenage sons who are both interested in breeding and showing. Together we spend a lot of time browsing the net and going to shows and sales throughout the UK and Ireland, to feed our interest in top quality genetics.
I have been a closet cowtalker for a while, but now i feel it's time to 'come out'

I know some other closeteers that need a prod to come out. Myself, I was a snoop for about a year or so before I came out. We all enjoy cows and the crap that goes with them. I joined pretty much for the entertainment value, sometimes it's too quiet on here, slip up and you may hear about it, but not from me. By the way, what's with Bally over there? Another one is Bonnie in the prefix. Are they like hills and valleys?

Mayjay are you really from Canada? My dad always said they have no sense of humour.

Re: Hello Cowtalkers

Wellcome to Cowtalk, John. I have found it interesting and entertaining. And also that people who work with cows are pretty much alike the world over, and face the same problems and pleasures that come from working with dairy cows.

My previous knowledge of life in the UK came by way of Monty Python and Benny Hill.

Mayjay Bally is a derivative of the Irish word Baile, which means town, i think!!!

MMT95, using Python and Benny Hill to learn about the UK did you not have an overwhelming urge to come visit the country!!
