Re: aAa UK

I am on my way to Jersey Island. This evening I will do a presentation about the aAa breeding guide. Tommorow and Saturady I will be analysing quite a few Jersey's.

The breed society invited me over to tell them more about aAa. I really look forward to see the cows on the Island. That popuplation is according to my information closed from outside genetics for the
last 150 years.

Greetings Marcel Verboom

I liked the cows on Jersey. They are in general Dairy, Smooth and Stylish.
This will be a interesting project. Planning to go again next April.

Nice to see that without the use of worldwide genetics and with a lot of natural service you still can create a healthy functional population. Maybe this population can function as a outcross source for other jerseypopulations.

Just back from my second visit to Jersey Island where I analysed about 600 cows. Really interesting project. Because the Island was closed for 200 years from genetics outside and with the use of natural serving bulls you can find per herd a different sort of animal.

From now on, we agreed, I will go there once a year.

Magazine Holstein World will make a special in April about aAa.
Reason is that this year it is 60 years ago aAa started. In the magazine there will be many adds by breeders that use aAa to explain why they use it. These are not paid testimonials!!
Also there will be a big editorial section that will explain how and why aAa works breeding better cows and/or above avarage daughters of the bulls that are used.

Leaving feb 2 for a short trip to Ireland to analyse cows and doing a presentation for the Kilkenny Holstein Club

Re: aAa UK

Came back thursday for a short trip to Ireland. Had a good meeting for the Kilkenny/Waterford Holstein club. About 35 breeders saw my presentation about aAa last wednesday evening feb3. After that already 3 of them signed up to have their cows analysed during the next May/June Ireland trip.
