Re: Riceton Cow pictures
Took a few pictures while cleaning barn tonight.Very poor quality not sure why, Ive used phone before usually turn out better.
A Final cut just coming third calf.
A Deann just fresh.I like the looks of these, lots strength with just enough dairyness to milk.
Another Deann, going to calve tonight.
A bolivia. Calved at 1-09 bred back to calve at 2-09, had several months over 90#.
Million just fresh out of 92 Aspen
Ex Dundee 7yr old coming 6th calf, never worked too hard, think only Dundee left and we HAD lots.
A Acme RC about to go dry on her third lactation.
Our highest lifetime cow. Emerson. Not real pretty but she looked about the same as a 2yr old, never changed much. She has calved at 2-01,3-00,3-11,5-03,6-04,7-02,8-02,9-03,10,07 and is pregnant and will calve at 11-09. Over 287,000 and had 117# on last test.
Bad picture but she is 94 leader, over 210,000. Her dam is the EX Gibson pictured earlier now over 260,000. I hope to get them over 500,000 combined lifetime both still on farm producing, think that would be neat.

Re: Riceton Cow pictures
I like the Deanns. Didn't use enough of that bull. Of course the old cows look very nice for their age.

Re: Riceton Cow pictures
I like the pictures. It was interesting to see the Deanns. I used 10 straws last year and ended up with 2 really nice heifer calves.

Re: Riceton Cow pictures
Great pics! I can see why you like the Glens. They look like they can milk.

Re: Riceton Cow pictures
Used Java as well, one fresh with a sweet udder milking 90+ and a really good one due this summer from a Ramos. Certainly a bull AI studs could of proven a few sons of. Very nice cow pics, you have some really nice cows, and know what you like and what works. Congrats!!

Re: Riceton Cow pictures
I had a really nice looking Java daughter too. Until she did the splits and was made into steaks for my employees.
My other one is due to calve in September though she's going to be old as she aborted once so far.

Re: Riceton Cow pictures
Nice pictures again. Those Captains have smoking udders! How are they bred?
Who are Plato and Java?
