Re: Freddie

A few more now. I think that gives me five milking. The highest producer has the worst udder which was a slight disappointment since her mother is a production machine with a decent udder. Otherwise udders on the others are pretty decent or good enough.

Latest one to calve is a Freddie X Blastoff. Anything less than waving a straw of semen at her for a pregnancy will be a disappointment.

The original Freddie I talked about in this thread is dry and approaching her second lactation.

So far, I'd say nothing out of the norm from his proof. Those that demand high classification scores need to stay away from this bull. But I think he's a bull that'd fit your philosophy quite well, Bazza.

Re: Freddie

What is the milking temprament like on daughters of Freddie and his sons?

I have 2 Alta Embassy daughters milking, or I had, as one was virtually unmilkable it was so bad at kicking the unit off. The other can have it's moments as well.

I have just calved my first Grafeeti and it could be worse than the worst Embassy! It is only about 2 weeks calved but it is hard work milking it.

I owned a Freddie that somebody housed for me, so I never milked it, but the guy that looked after it said it was awful to milk as well.

How have other people found them?

I don't have a poor temperament Freddie that I know of. Couple of other Oman sons I used could be kicky but haven't noiced anything with Freddie.

Calved our first Grafeeti a few weeks ago she needs the kick bar. Not evil bad just cant get her milked right out without and least one swipe at the unit.
