I already have a Delaval double 10 and would like to change it to a swing 20. I used to have a Delaval swing 10 and am concerned about squawks and falloffs which I know are reduced in the Dairymaster. The price difference between what I have and new Dairymaster would be $70,000. Any comments would be appreciated nondisclosed_email@example.com (jedward)Sun, 19 Mar 2017 20:44:23 +0000 Re: Dairymaster or Delaval milking parlourhttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p434867,from=rss#post434867https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p434867,from=rss#post434867The Dairymaster parlor does run on a higher vacuum level. However, there is a true rest phase where the level drops to almost nothing. The ACR is also set to take the machine off when the cow is milked drier. One would think this would be a recipe for bad teat health; but, our teats are very healthy and there is almost no milker slipping. We have 300 cows and I have only had to treat 13 cases of mastitis in 2013 and five of those were in January. With our old system, I treated 4-12 cows per month on a 110 cow herd.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Trident DCWI)Wed, 18 Dec 2013 01:38:02 +0000 Re: Dairymaster or Delaval milking parlourhttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p434835,from=rss#post434835https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p434835,from=rss#post434835quote:Sergii wrote: Dairymaster has 4:0 pulsation with higher productivity? I have heard the vacuum is turned up slightly higher with the dairymaster hence maybe sucking the life out of the teat for a few drops at the expence of teat conditionnondisclosed_email@example.com (holsteins)Tue, 17 Dec 2013 12:52:34 +0000 Re: Dairymaster or Delaval milking parlourhttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p434830,from=rss#post434830https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p434830,from=rss#post434830Dairymaster has 4:0 pulsation with higher productivity? I'm looking to put in a new milking parlour this year and was thinking of a 20 unit swing arm with rapid exit with all the the following extras: - milk meters - ACRs - drafting - ID - Feeders - Dump line - Parlour management software I am having a hard time deciding what system to go for and was wondering would anyone on this have any recommendations from experience on the different systems???? There is dealers for both Delaval and Dairymaster in my area and from the people I have asked, are known to provide a good reliable service. The Dairymaster system is a little more expensive but they say it milks faster and apparently gives higher yields?? Then the Delaval parlour is cheaper and seems to be a popular parlour in the area. Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated Cheers!! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Dairyman123)Mon, 09 Jul 2012 16:56:00 +0000
