Re: World Dairy Expo 2012
Has there ever been a bull as dominant as Goldwyn? Many of the milking classes were made up of 75% Goldwyns.

Re: World Dairy Expo 2012
Right now Goldwyn and Advent. In one of the red classes, I think out of 22 entered there were only three that were not Advent daughters.
I am anxiously waiting for PAD to get back on here and tell us what was wrong with Hailey. Every year he has a list of faults in the champion and Hailey didn't any holes on Saturday. Fire away PAD!... she could always be bigger.

Re: World Dairy Expo 2012
For me the 4 year old red and white class was the best class of red cows ever put together. Does anyone know for sure what the Goldwyn X Redrose brought? I heard $8,000. I wish i would have stayed at the sale longer!

Re: World Dairy Expo 2012
Hailey was one of the best cows to win the Holstein show in a long time. Not sure what the attack from Trident is all about. Frosty is not the future of the breed, Hailey is.

Re: World Dairy Expo 2012
Oh PAD - "attack"? I guess it is just further proof that joking around and sarcasm don't come off very well electronically.
You made my point exactly. Even you - who has been fairly critical of the last few EXPO champions - would say that Hailey was without fault... at least, for that one Saturday. This also shows how high our standards have gotten when we expect the champions to be without fault.
What about the class with the eighth place cow being the best udder? I thought Mr. heath placed the least amount of emphasis on udder as any judge I have seen. He really emphasized mobility and youthfulness (I think he emphasized the youthfulness too much). I want a cow that works and am not ashamed when she looks like she can and does.
