Re: Stubborn Cows

Will,

Back when cowboys were pioneering the wild west, Mr Remmington patented the repeating rifle.

As for your cow, if she is a good one, why not sell her to someone who has a straw yard, rather than shoot her?

Thanks for the info on Mr Remmington!!
I don't know too many guys here in Northern Ireland with straw yards Simon, I suppose we could sell her, but we'd have to make sure it was trough a mart where nobody knows us, don't want any come-back!!! Might try locking her up in the cubicle at night again, you'd think with a cushy matress under her feet she'd want to lie down! It's a real bugger working in an office from 9-5 Mon-Fri and living 30 odd miles from home now! My Dad had a heart attack last Easter, so he has to try and avoid stress!!! emoticon

Re: Stubborn Cows

Living at home, my Dad would just love that one, he's constantly on at me to move back, offering building sites & all sorts!!!
The reason I'm 30 miles away is cos I got married last September, my wife is from the other end of this wee part of Ireland, some 60 miles away from my home. We bought a new house half way between, (a) so that we were both moving away from home, making a new start, (b) so that we each had the same distance to travel to work and (c) the house we bought is in a new development in an area with good property value growth - CH-CHING? (hopefully)
We're hoping to move back to near my home in a few years time, hopefully by then the milk price will have improved, so I can pack in this office job!!
Sorry for the long-winded reply - the cow's still lying in the S.H.one.T!! emoticon

I think we might just have accidentaly found the solution to our problem, with this paricular cow anyway!! emoticon
A week or so ago we let our stock bull back in with the cows, to do the Ibitty-Jibbity!
I don't know if our problem, stubborn cow has taken a shine to the lad (he's a good lookin fella!! emoticon ), but the other day she was lying half up into the stall beside him, maybe a few weeks of this and she'll be cured!! emoticon

Maybe you could hang a picture of an EX 97 point bull up in front of a stall for her. She would then want to curl up next to her pin up stud!
