Re: Scientific b Defiant

Hvezda did you use much of him. I know you said you were done with him but a person could change their mind if they like the calves.

Had my first defiant calf from a sept. storm cow. Extremely long legged black and white heifer. Excited to see how she develops. Bought just 2 straws as a trial, so happy with my luck if his conception has been that bad.

Re: Scientific b Defiant

I believe some of the oldest daughters are winter calves and I saw them at the Wisconsin State Fair. The calves were from the breeder of the bull so I am sure he got the first semen. I would bet we will see a lot of his calves next year.

I absolutly love our May calf by Defiant from an Advent. Super long dairy neck and head. Depth and a sweeping rib with great legs. We are using him agian. Now he has sexed semen I might use him on a couple of the bigger heifers. We have had no problems with his calves coming out and I talked to other guys and they reported the same.

I took some pictures of our Defiant and put them on our Facebook page, Herr-Lane Holsteins. She is not clipped or washed since it is about 0 degrees F. We just bred her dam back to Defiant.

Re: Scientific b Defiant

I thought there would be some defiant calves listed for sale in many of the spring consignment sales. I haven't seen any listed in the early spring show results. Does this mean he will be heading to the beef pen soon? He is a bust or just to early and really wasn't used on the high profile cows.
