Re: Scientific b Defiant

The last few Midwest shows I've paid attention to
I have seen a few Defiants do well. Also Brokaw
has been showing up in heifer classes!

KingMambo is got one for you. I was going to use
Defiant sexed also on a Action heifer out of the
old red marker desire. But I'm guessing the inbreeding
would be bad. I forgot action is a destry son and destry and defiants dam are full brother and sister.

Well i had my first calf last week, a lovely long, deep dairy heifer calf, really nice bone quality in the legs and nearly jet black out of a 70/30 white mother, quick summary would be that more goldwyn than braxton has come through. Looking forward to the rest now

Re: Scientific b Defiant

Using Defiant on an Action does not sound a bad idea even if the inbreeding could be a little high the biggest problem is calving ease just like many RC or Red bulls.

The other bulls that may work with Action daughters would be Adonis with an Advent mother u would be placing Advent and Apple together in the pedigree another bull that is not RC is Aftershock Declan he looks to have great quality and dairyness just like Defiant.

For a calving ease RC bull that has great Genomics it would have to be Mr Aderyn Andiron to use with Action daughters apart from a low score for dairyness in both Action and Andiron they look a great match and Andiron looks like he may work with Defiant as well.

His daughters did well at expo! The winter calf
was huge. My bet is Siemers is going to keep
using him a lot. I'm sure next year we will see
a lot more of them.

Re:

We are still using Defiant. The limited amount of his daughters at Expo were all really nicely grown heifers with beautiful rib structure.

I also like his son Redneck, from Reba the second place 4 year old from WDE.
