genomic results

We have a Numero Uno hfr who is polled and came back at 2286 gtpi. She has a younger full sister, and 3 more sibs coming by Uno, Galaxy, and Supersire. We have a polled Eliminator bull from a Freddie, who came back at 770 Net Merit as well, might be the highest polled bull. I'm sure we will find out where he ranks in the coming days

Re: genomic results

Congrats! I was thinking about running a thread about our good news too. We have a Ladd-P sister to ColtP that is 2196GTPI. On the earliest list I have seen, she is the #2 red, polled heifer in the USA. Animals like these sure make our way of life a bit more exciting.

Craethke, on the list I have for animals in the USA, your heifer would be #4 for GTPI polled.

Good for you donkey, it is always interesting reading those reports. Does the calf typewise look like the report? Do you have more full sibs to test?

Re: genomic results

No full sibs to test but do have another Gold Crown x Planet from a different branch of the same family which I think might be worth testing.

Re: genomic results

I recently purchased a Mogule X Md-Maple-Dell Shot Sari Ex92 X Durham Ex92, fairly deep pedigree. She is +2283GTPI on the April run, [sign in to see URL] type. Really pleased with her, she tested +153 above PTA. I know it's not extreme, but hopefully if I breed her right I can get a good mixture of type and index.
