possible show animals?
Want to get people's opinions on some heifers I like to show. I have had my eye on this heifer for awhile now. I really like how she came along just dont know if she's good enough to show. Starting to go threw and pick some heifers out to show this year. Which will be the first time we will attempt to show heifers.
Sorry for her being a big fluff ball in the picture.

Re: possible show animals?
She looks good. Showing heifers can be a real crap-shoot; especially if you're showing at the big shows. If you're doing local shows; I wouldn't worry too much about any major flaws. If you're planning to do the big shows; be prepared to have to feed special diets, clip and wash regularly, etc.
She looks good. Nice strong top and deep body. Wish she had a little more set to her rear legs but I like her tail head and rump. It's hard to tell from the picture because it's sideways but if her front end is lower than her hind end; she does need to grow a more in the front end. Would be nice to see her clipped off (leave belly hair) in the spring. She should be able to hold her own in a heifer class with her deep body and strong frame

If this helps any. She's on the right and mother on the left. She does go up hil a little. I have no idea why the pictures are sideways.

Re: possible show animals?
We will be just showing at local shows. Not all for them special diets and whatever else gets put in them.

Re: possible show animals?
What age is she? Just from the pictures I would like her to be a little straighter in the leg when viewed from the rear. She could also maybe have a little more spring of rib to go along with the depth. Other than that I think she looks pretty good. I haven't been to anything bigger than our county show for awhile though.

Re: possible show animals?
Her legs have always been my concern of mine since she was born. They have improved greatly and still look like their improving slowly.

Re:
If we had a heifer that looked like her I'd say we'd probably take her to the county show and see how she did. It's hard to tell from a picture but I'd think she'd be big enough to do decent at a local show.
