She was spot on that day. The most balanced red and white on the shavings. Strong top, great rump, big/open framed, welded on udder, excellent feet and legs, not too frail or showy. A handy winner. He really liked the Luck-E cow that was reserve grand in the red and whites. In the black and whites he thought Hailey was winning pretty handy. He loved the reserve grand champion as well. As good a show as it was he thought those two were quite a bit ahead of the rest of the show.nondisclosed_email@example.com (errolston)Tue, 07 Oct 2014 09:17:33 +0000 Re:https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438896,from=rss#post438896https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438896,from=rss#post438896Paul Trapp is a thorough judge. While I like Chalou, her legs will never be quite good enough to get around Hailey. The judge did phenomenal - I felt that he was judging for balance. I loved all the winners. Barbara, Katrishya, Hailey, Belinda - all balanced cows. Not big huge cows. Balanced cows with great mobility and amazing udders. nondisclosed_email@example.com (PADairymen)Mon, 06 Oct 2014 16:09:59 +0000 Re:https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438893,from=rss#post438893https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438893,from=rss#post438893Rae Lynn won't be coming back to the show ring as far as I know. Hailey looked good; maybe the best she has but the top 3 in her class were all contenders to unseat her. Her rear udder; as impressive as it is, still doesn't look natural and if she wasn't bagged to the extreme I'd doubt she'd look as attractive. If you look at the side profile photos of her udder Hailey is starting to develop a slight reverse tilt and her foreudder looked a little less neat. Of course this is just being picky. The Supreme Jersey was unreal. Perfection from nose to tail, stunning legs, strength of top, rump, mammary. I thought that the Karlie cow from Arethusa had at all but I am fairly sure if Karlie was there; this new Supreme champ would've taken her down. Dundee Belinda, the 150K winner, really stuck out in the ring too. So much balance and correctness. I love the strength and width in her front end, her long body, rump and mammary system. nondisclosed_email@example.com (dabble1980)Mon, 06 Oct 2014 13:57:05 +0000 Re: World Dairy Expo 2014https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438892,from=rss#post438892https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438892,from=rss#post438892Oldest Atwoods are now 4 year olds,6 top 5 finishes in the first 5 cow classes is not too shabby.nondisclosed_email@example.com (farmer57)Mon, 06 Oct 2014 13:46:10 +0000 Re:https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438890,from=rss#post438890https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438890,from=rss#post438890If Rae Lynn had been in shape, I think Quality planned to take her to Madison...but sadly that's not the case.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Mistyglen)Mon, 06 Oct 2014 12:13:34 +0000 Re:https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438888,from=rss#post438888https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438888,from=rss#post438888sid seems more likelynondisclosed_email@example.com (triday1)Mon, 06 Oct 2014 03:39:21 +0000 Re:https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438878,from=rss#post438878https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p438878,from=rss#post438878I missed the domination of Atwood in the milking classes. Although I wouldn't complain if I owned a class winner! But I don't have 2 million laying around either hahaha I see Ernest sold the cow to Pierre already. The futurity winner was another clone - and it is pretty apparent in her udder. Regardless, if she's mated to a good udder bull, I think it can be corrected. The Intermediate champ was awesome, but I was hoping Kandie would win after getting past all the talk of Seisme vs Apple. As much as I say "holy crap" every time I see Apple in the ring, the close up of her udder bums me out because the reverse tilt and the short back teats is the exact type of cow I can't have with the robot.
