Sire for flush
I have a seven yr old 87 pt. cow sired by Titan that I haven't gotten a heifer out of...even with sexed semen once. Going to be flushing her soon. Was curious as to what others would use. I am thinking of using one of these bulls.
She is a Titan x Storm
Paradise
Dreamweaver
Airlift
AltaMeteor
Latroy
Touchdown
I would like to use Iota but runs the same family being an Oman x Ito
Thoughts?
Thanks

Re: Sire for flush
What are your goals other than to get a heifer calf? Components? Type faults? Tobi's Durham Titan is the sire?

Re:
Tobi's Durham Titan is the sire, yep. She could use some strength up front, tighten up the rear udder. She has good feet and leg. She's a decent milker. Just looking to add some sound animals to the herd...

Re: Sire for flush
Having older blood probably means using older bulls rather than Genomic or newly proven bulls and Zani Shottle Neapol looks a good choice for increasing strength while not losing to much in the process.

Re: Sire for flush
I would highly recomend Outside. He will give you power up front and milk with the added strength, along with overall udder improvement. If not Outside use Windy-Knoll View PRONTO. I love how he and Durham blood have worked for us, had one out of an 80 point Zenith go 90 points at 4-11 and she was going dry next week.

Re: Sire for flush
Will and Bazza, Shottle may not have worked for either of you, but, 38,000 daughters in his UK proof gives him +0.3 lifespan. I think your comments are just wrong.
Shottle is one of the greatest bulls the Holstein breed has seen.
Next you will be telling me that Planet was no good....
As to the original question, I would give Mogul some serious consideration.
