Hasn't seen one he would rave about. I only have 2, both 2 year olds, both due to dry off soon. Both are out of very good, proven cow families. They milk well, I will give them that. Very mature udders for their ages, rear udder attachments are left to be desired, very heavy cows. I would be hard pressed to find a rib on either one of them. I prefer a cow with straighter leg for my operation and both of these cows have sickle legs and I do not foresee their pasterns holding up for more than a couple of years. nondisclosed_email@example.com (blackandwhite89)Tue, 25 Jul 2017 16:32:43 +0000 Re: Seagull-Bay Supersirehttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p443971,from=rss#post443971https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p443971,from=rss#post443971I read somewhere recently that in the UK there are over 45 daughters classified VG and all that are classified average 83 points. Poor udders Below average feets and legs Milk production is not as good as expected (between 18000 and 20500 lbs in 1st lactation) Components are nothing special. I have only one Supersire milking. She is a VG88 (3yr) that is 8 months into her second lactation. She is a favourite of mine. A medium sized cow with fantastic production and good health traits. Of the 9 there is one very nice heifer, I would say she would score about 81-82 points as a two year old and she is also milking over 100 pounds. The other 8 are nothing special, poor udders and legs and too small. One of them has actually been sold already as she was a dud. He also made a lot of high somatic cell count heifers, as 4 of them are among the top 7 in the barn. Very disappointing results for a bull that has been so highly rated for so long.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Escocito)Sun, 09 Jul 2017 18:46:12 +0000 Re:https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p443751,from=rss#post443751https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p443751,from=rss#post443751How do people find tyheir supersire daughters now? I have been underwhelmed by Shottle's sons. But once more given the huge number of sons, we are maybe only talking a couple that come close to or exceed Shottle. Also Supersire saw a jump, once his daughters came into his proof. If his sons follow this pattern, it is awful early to write them off. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Buckeye)Thu, 12 Nov 2015 22:36:01 +0000 Re: Re:https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p442620,from=rss#post442620https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p442620,from=rss#post442620quote:Buckeye wrote: quote:dairytalker wrote: Supersire has no sons with a higher GTPI than himself.
