And show cows who have been milking a year and still are leaned right off. Also funny when you check some of those cows who put up huge milk records but when they were young cows they were below average producers. Wish I knew how to do that emoticon

That's the kind of cow we need - those who develope when they become older. High producing heifers mostly aren't the ones with the highest yield as 5-calvers... If they ever reach that age...
A friend of mine sold a cow (3rd calf) because of low production (6000 and 7000 kg in the first two lactations). Two years later he read about her in a magazine - she milked more than [sign in to see URL] kg!
