Mating advice
Got a red Destry heifer to serve within the next few months, had a quick look today through some line up's and struggling to see something with decent type and milk that doesn't have an Destry blood. Any suggestions from some breeders more in the loop with red blood than myself? Need to be bulls that are available in the UK also!

Re: Mating advice
Seen as she is Red I would think there would be way more options from B&W bulls because most of the best Red or RC bulls have very poor calving ease and the rest are very average in comparison to the B&W bulls.
If this was my heifer I would use Bradnick he may work well with Destry adding better feet, strength and straight legs to the equation.

Re: Mating advice
I would say that Observer blood should be kept away from Destry daughters at all costs unless u want cows with no power and very poor legs & feet.

Re: Mating advice
Mr Hotstuffs Hypnotic RC looks one of the better RC bulls that has great type with average calving ease although his production is negative and I don't know if he is available in the UK or maybe he is to young to have any semen yet.
He is from the same family as Destry but his Genomic type profile looks a perfect fit for a Destry daughter if u want high type he looks a great bull.

Re:
I just did a quick search and would find this bull to be interesting on a Destry. Destry could provide openness while he helps with the FLC of Destry. I don't know if he's available in the UK or not though. http://www.accelgen.com/catalog/semen-usa/094ho00901/english/mr-apples-akito-red-et/

Re: Mating advice
Ended up opting for Visstein K & L Picasso red, was only needing a few straws and my genus rep had some in the tank when last in.
