We stomach tube for the first 2 days then try on the bottle and go from there. Had a stubborn calf last week that managed about 1/3 of its milk for a few feeds but as Will says its amazing what hunger can do that's my tactic.

After 10 days on a cow, and a couple of Synulox bolus, our calf that looked more like dying than living is now quite happily drinking from a bucket.

Don't think it would have survived without the cow, it was stupid enough to starve itself.

If you can get a decent price for heifer calves I would look at selling it now. It likely never going to be any good and with milk prices the way they are every animal needs to be paying their way.
