Your home grown breeding bulls

I'm gonna start looking for another to raise in the next 6 months. Was wondering who you guys like for a herd Sires, Sire.

Currently we have a Chase Son, Risky, but he is long in the tooth and will be replaced soon with a home grown Shot son. Followed by a home grown Defiant son.

We had a Gold Chip Son, A Fever son, and a Gillette grand son.

Currently our future herd sires are by Man-O-Man, Durham, (2) Wa-Del Mogul Blake, Hartline Lindell, Morty and EDG Clear Cut. We always keep a bunch so depending on who goes mean or who doesn't develop like we want we still have other options.
We're currently using a Durham x GP83 2yr Goldwyn x EX 94 Storm Fleurel (the future use Durham is his full brother)on our heifers and a polled Parma-P x Chief Adeen family on cows.
As far as what I like herd sires to be sired by: right now I'm trying to work on getting some more polled animals so I'm breeding good cows to polled bulls in hopes of getting good polled bulls to use. We also kept 3 full brothers awhile back by Hero and out of Scenic-Vista Poetry Rae a VG full sister to Scenic-Vista Pod Rae from Accelerated Genetics. Talk about stand out heifers in the pens. All 3 bulls were used very heavily and the oldest daughters are in the breeding pen and the youngest are still being born. I definitely want to get another Hero son going.

Did I read that correctly or is there another Morty? Surely no-one would use a son of Stouder Morty, one of the worst lifespan, worst fertility, high cell count, low component bulls ever?

I full understand using old greats like Durham and old bulls as outcrosses ... but why would anyone go back to one of the worst all round bulls that managed to somehow get through a progeny test?

Eryl Vet you read that correctly. He's a Stouder Morty x an EX90 full sister to Lana Rae that we had here. I don't know that we'll actually use him but his full sisters were good here and it's one of our best longevity and fertility families so hopefully that covers for him. I brought up all your arguments to dad against keeping him but right now he's the only son we have from the old cow. He's a really good looking bull but I think we should sell him and wait and see what we get from the Durham, Lee, Skychief and even possibly the Modest eggs we have left from the Rudolph. Dad's the boss though and he has a point as far as the sisters were good and the bulls from the family have done well for us.

Wanted to double check registration papers before posting lineage that I can find quickly.

The Shot son, 'Merican Sniper

Dams' Sire: Springway Austin x September Storm
Maternal Grand Dam is out of Brigeen Rocket-ET

We picked this bull because his Dam has always had a high butterfat (4.4 last test), She is strong and 305 days in milk is at 30,000 lbs.

Defiant Rebel is out of Defiant, yes he is red.
Dams' sire: Jerian Sidney-Red x Ladino Park Talent- IMP- ET
Maternal Grand Dam is out of Brigeen Rocket-ET

He was picked for red lineage, fancy traits, his dam milks 38,000 in 305 days milk.

My plan for my one heifer is to cross her with her half brother plus (a home bred son of a home bred Willards Aristocrat Duce-Red son). His name: Pen-Ire Graces King Mael. The heifer is a Deep-Valley Contender-Red. The heifer is the 16th generation owned by our family. The sire of King Mael was 15th generation from the same family. The 12th generation is the same cow. My father and I combined to run our dairy for 54 years. The heifer and bull that remain; trace back to one of the 17 original cows my father purchased with the farm in 1946.
