a few years ago the illawarra association decided to open their herdbook and allow a cross of another bred to widen the bloodlines and [sign in to see URL] not 100% certain but I think these are known as Ys and I think one can only go one [sign in to see URL]. use redmarker once but then not able to go back and use another pure red holstein on that [sign in to see URL] many of todays showwinners are actually daus of a red holstein and I think red holstein actually crosses the best altho the spotty legs never go away!So one could have the same animal being an offcolor appendix 4 r&w holstein as well as an illawarra!
using red holstein has definitely improved the shape of the udder and gotton rid of that big chunky teat.
