Steel Brothers sale

This was an excellent sale, well attended and the bidding was hot. No less than 12 head brought over $9,000, top cow R&W 2yr Rubens x Elegant x Rentina, $39,000 and a full R&W sister not yet fresh $16,000. Their 2 B&W full sisters, brought $5,500, and $4,000, and the R&W Elegant dam of all 4 brought $19,000.
Rentinas two Storm daus 6yrs, and 7yrs brought $9,500 and $9,700, and her E.X Rudolph dau $16,000
Of the top selling 12 lots all but 1 was R&W or *R.C this should surprize no one, and there are many examples of R&W daus, out selling full, or part siblings that were B&W by very large amounts. I know red heads are hot, but it now seems to have gone to the next level.

Re: Steel Brothers sale

I'm glad for them that they had a good sale. I'm just curious how did the udders on the Renita descendants look? Radius and Reprize sire terrible udders and her Mischief at Carrousel is no a good uddered cow so just wondering?

Also for anybody who was at the Quebec spring or fall shows, how did the Coubert Delco cow, and Elegant Ruble look? How about Milestone Rosel? I was just a bit surprised that Ruble didn't win both spring and fall as I'd heard that she looked very right.

As for the sale, udders were pretty darn good in my mind. As for the show, sorry I wasn't at either.
