We have also used Paramount and he has given us a VG87 heifer they milk really well and they have good components, they can also be extremely dairy. We have started to use Rapid bay Just wait his calves at the calf show were very impressive last year.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Jersey1)Wed, 15 Jun 2005 09:19:56 +0000 Re: Jersey Bullshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28127,from=rss#post28127https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28127,from=rss#post28127A Jersey bull I suggest you consider is an Australian proven bull codenamed ASTOUND - Molly Brook Berretta Fabulous. He has good production and is the highest type and udder rated bull in Australia with around 3000 dtrs in his proof to date. He stands in Australia and outranks all the top rated Nth Amer bulls for type. Daughters are winning on farm competitions as well as at major shows, most recently Intermediate Champion at Australia's International Dairy Week. He is also the highest type bull in the USA and amongst the top group in New Zealand and Sth Africa. Not a bad bull. I can send some photos if you want.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Scary)Wed, 15 Jun 2005 05:04:16 +0000 Re: Jersey Bullshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28126,from=rss#post28126https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28126,from=rss#post28126We've used a couple of the bulls. Lemvig either makes good ones or real poor udder bad ones. We are using counciller on our best stuff and just got a counciller Dec. calf that is nice. We never got much for Jude, but using it selectively. We have two Julian heifers, one average out of poor cow the other is a really fancy Sr yearling that we sold (dang it. Remake did okay One good two bad, see a lot of fancy ones. WE like the milking councillers and Jades. Duke (dorie Dees) blow udders but have nice frames. Just waits are terrible. Just freshed two Kaptain (Renasaince xKracker)daughters an a Jamaica (Counciller xEvening) that are nice. Have a few fancy Resurrection calves on the ground. Using bulls like sultan, jade, centurion (love him)among many young sires. Gustav (MC TopsX Juno Grace)makes fancy calves. We use a lot of show pedigree and add a few milky bulls but would only use Golden of the prevoius sires.nondisclosed_email@example.com (lilbrwncwz)Wed, 08 Jun 2005 18:40:02 +0000 Re: Jersey Bullshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28125,from=rss#post28125https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28125,from=rss#post28125Milking over 100 Jerseys Yes We Show...We won the Last Two Jersey Show Held in Italy. My father was former president of ANJI (Italian Jersey Association) Click here and Check the bottom of the page We used Duncan Bell bulls a lot, plenty of Perimiter and Remake, in the past we used Lester, Khan, Montana, Pitino and many others...nondisclosed_email@example.com (POSAL)Sun, 05 Jun 2005 15:02:04 +0000 Re: Jersey Bullshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28124,from=rss#post28124https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28124,from=rss#post28124How many Jerseys do you milk Posal? What is their breeding? Do you show them? Three WWS bulls I would recommend are O.F. Barber Rocket, Forest Glen Avery Action and BW Parade. First two are our hottest sires right now, not at the very top of the list, but right up there, they combine production and type very well. The Rockets are medium sized, with sweet udders, he combines the highest milk out of the shallowest udders in the Jersey breeder. Very fertile semen, he really knocks them over. Rocket is Rebel's maternal half brother. Action is probably Avery's best son, very balanced, with high production and high type and a bullet proof linear plus exceptional health and fertility traits. Clean boned, dairy strength cows with wide butts and great udders. My favourite Jersey bull right now. BW Parade is already adding second crop, he is an Alf son. They are framey and long geared with wide rumps, great rear udders, need some protection on udder depth and will not improve fore udders. There were a bunch of two year old Parades at our show and they made a great impression. Two out of the top three futurity class winners were Parades. If you can get Jace semen, flush your top cows to him. He might just be Montana's best.nondisclosed_email@example.com (smous)Sun, 05 Jun 2005 14:54:46 +0000 Re: Jersey Bullshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28123,from=rss#post28123https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28123,from=rss#post28123Any other Bull I should add to the list? Perimeter is ranked higher than Paramount in the USA, positions are switched in Canada, where Paramount is #1 and Perimeter #2. Paramount doesn't make them as big, but is probably the more consistent of the two, but Perimeter can produce that bloody awesome cow. Perimeters to my mind are either very good or very bad, very little middle ground. Incredible frames, but often dodgy mammaries esp. fore udders. He is a tremendous longevity, daughter fertility and percentage bull and can make the big time show cow. Rebel is the production king of the Jersey breed, lots of milk with positive %'s. Framey, rugged cows, with deeper udders, but excellent centre ligaments. Use him on tight uddered lazy cows that need a kick up the backside. He can make a fancy one every now and then, one just one her class in our local show - 220 cows, big quality classes. Golden, top type bull, good bull to use on your Rebels or vise versa. Excellent udders, if the Jerseys had udder composites he would be in the 99th percentile. Not super big, but long bodied and dairy. Lemvig, outcross, extreme percentages, shallow udders, improve as they get older. Not very long in the leg, work a treat on Brook bloodlines. Was very impressed by the Lemvigs we saw in the States this January. Judes are real muzzle cows, I think they cross better with US bloodlines than traditional Canadian. Seen awesome Judes out of Sooner, Berretta and Bold Venture cows.  nondisclosed_email@example.com (smous)Sat, 04 Jun 2005 15:06:32 +0000 Jersey Bullshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28121,from=rss#post28121https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p28121,from=rss#post28121I would like to know what you think about the Jersey Bulls I like.
