If it's not too much hassle, I think the polls should come up again ever so often. The polls that have already been used can be used again no problem. I think it would be interesting to see how the perspective of cowtalk has changed.nondisclosed_email@example.com (LRG)Mon, 15 Dec 2008 20:59:46 +0000 Re: Previous poll resultshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29300,from=rss#post29300https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29300,from=rss#post29300we have a 63in vg 1st calf inquirer out of the rudolph.the inquirer has 2 full brothers in ai semex and select.semex contracted the inquirer to morty result is we have submitted a picture to hopefully get a nomination in the senior heifer class i am computer disfunctional otherwise i would post a picture nondisclosed_email@example.com (john h2)Tue, 30 Nov 2004 13:09:00 +0000 Re: Previous poll resultshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29299,from=rss#post29299https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29299,from=rss#post29299Well she is from a good family that has bred some good ones in the past and her Rudolph daughter is prety good.I also belive she is a red carrier so to me she is a great cow to use in a breeding program.Do u have any members of this family!.nondisclosed_email@example.com (CHARITY)Tue, 30 Nov 2004 03:25:32 +0000 Re: Previous poll resultshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29298,from=rss#post29298https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29298,from=rss#post29298charity how did you come up with those particular cows i am referring to previous post. cows you said will breed good ones especially lanquet jackpot faveanondisclosed_email@example.com (john h2)Mon, 29 Nov 2004 21:42:52 +0000 Re: Previous poll resultshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29297,from=rss#post29297https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29297,from=rss#post29297Guess then we won't need to send in the results, to our respective breed societys. Mine like to run through the parlor trying to get by before the front gate shuts. He is also correct about you worrying more about them hurting themselves. I lost 1 because she was running in the barn when I was sorting out another cow and she slipped and split out. If she hadn't been running it would not have happened. They must be restrained in a headlock before they can be bred or worked with in anyway. I also would not trade mine even with the attitude problems for another group of cattle. nondisclosed_email@example.com (buckeyebreeder)Sun, 08 Aug 2004 15:43:29 +0000 Re: Previous poll resultshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29290,from=rss#post29290https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29290,from=rss#post29290quote:mckeague wrote: I forgot to vote on this poll but prob would have plumped for Outside. I for 1 don't like being kicked by cows but do others not mind??? A good cow is still a good cow, and Durham makes some really nice ones. I agree that they can be a little goofy, but I wouldn't trade our group of young Durhams for anything else. Also, ours aren't really kickers, just tend to be flighty. I worry more about them injuring themselves than anything else. Our best cow is very head strong and can be a real challenge to show as a result, but that doesn't mean she isn't a good cow. I think right now when you talk about the best bulls it is Durham and then everyone else. We had sold five Amber-Storm embryos to Semex-Spain, but we never anything more about them. We flushed Amber Mascot sucessfully a few times as a younger cow, but we have not been sucessful in her later years. She is still alive and quite youthful looking for her age, at past eleven. She just recently passed 200,000lbs, and we turned her dry. We had hoped she was in calf, but proved not to be, so I guess we will have to say goodbye to her. She had a full sister scored EX 90. Storm seems to cross quite well with this family, and legs have not been a big problem. Amber mascot had 4 Storm daughters born here. All 4 were VG at 88,88,87,& 85. Her maternal sister, Jade EX 92, has a daughter, Silver Jackpot Ex 92, who has three Storm sons, 2 EX and 1 VG; and 2 Storm daughters,1st calvers, scored VG 87 and VG 88. This family's forte has been high wide rear udders. I would think that Amber's Storm would do reasonably well. Amber's best record was 3-2 2X 365 37,610 lbsm 3.8 1440f 3.2 1208p.  nondisclosed_email@example.com (mmt95)Thu, 27 May 2004 04:46:15 +0000 Re: Previous poll resultshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29283,from=rss#post29283https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29283,from=rss#post29283mmt95 Since you brought up the subject of a bull that originates in your herd, in Ireland .I thought I'd inform you( if you dont know already) about a new release bull that comes from a cow with the Robthom prefix, here in Spain. The cow is Robthom Amber Mascot and her son is by Storm,he's called Tec-Lin Storm Amber and is the Spanish owned Type leader here, with 65 daugh. in 63 herds. You can see his proof at www.viaganadera.com/ascol just click on SEMENTALES and then click on his name. The province he was proven in has a few breeders down on Storm and I dont have to say anything about mascot so I dont think that he will be used too much by the more tpe concious breeders, at least not yet.He seems to have a decent no holes type proof (a little straight legged and a wee bit high in the pins),he should be adding more daughs. next round.I'd be interested to hear any comments or thoughts you might have on this bull.nondisclosed_email@example.com (ghz)Wed, 26 May 2004 20:51:54 +0000 Re: Previous poll resultshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29282,from=rss#post29282https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p29282,from=rss#post29282ai-services.co.uk is the website but its been a long time since its been updated!!!!
