Re: Previous poll results
Does anyone know anything about the Addison son, Inch Image, in Northern Ireland, good or bad? I noted that he is out of a VG 89 gr'daughter of Robthom Ivory Mark. But that is all I know about him.

Re: Previous poll results
Don't know who sells the Addison (Inch Image), but we have been selling the Emerson son (Inch Initial) of this cow (Skyhigh Ivory Mandel- she was VG89 2yr old). She won her class at the winter fair in Belfast a couple of years back. Here is her details page from Holstein Website.
http://www.holstein-uk.org/HolsteinUK/PublicWeb/AnimalData/data/ASFemalefs.asp?AnimalID=2234732
From here you can click back and fore through the pedigree or on any of her daughters or sons and look for their progeny etc. Never heard of this Ivory Mark cow- any good? (only joking)
I think some of her progeny were entered at this years Balmoral show. Anyway here is the webpage for Holstein UK Show results. You will be so pleased to know that an Integrity won this years National Holstein Show. Anyway keep this page in favourites and then when Balmoral results are posted we will find out.
Just in case you are interested -there are two cowtalk contributors on the picture- the judge and sponsor.

Re: Previous poll results

Since you brought up the subject of a bull that originates in your herd, in Ireland .I thought I'd inform you( if you dont know already) about a new release bull that comes from a cow with the Robthom prefix, here in Spain. The cow is Robthom Amber Mascot and her son is by Storm,he's called Tec-Lin Storm Amber and is the Spanish owned Type leader here, with 65 daugh. in 63 herds. You can see his proof at www.viaganadera.com/ascol just click on SEMENTALES and then click on his name. The province he was proven in has a few breeders down on Storm and I dont have to say anything about mascot so I dont think that he will be used too much by the more tpe concious breeders, at least not yet.He seems to have a decent no holes type proof (a little straight legged and a wee bit high in the pins),he should be adding more daughs. next round.I'd be interested to hear any comments or thoughts you might have on this bull.

Re: Previous poll results
ghz--Thank you for letting me know of this bull.I did not know he even existed. We had sold five Amber-Storm embryos to Semex-Spain, but we never anything more about them.
We flushed Amber Mascot sucessfully a few times as a younger cow, but we have not been sucessful in her later years. She is still alive and quite youthful looking for her age, at past eleven. She just recently passed 200,000lbs, and we turned her dry. We had hoped she was in calf, but proved not to be, so I guess we will have to say goodbye to her. She had a full sister scored EX 90.
Storm seems to cross quite well with this family, and legs have not been a big problem. Amber mascot had 4 Storm daughters born here. All 4 were VG at 88,88,87,& 85. Her maternal sister, Jade EX 92, has a daughter, Silver Jackpot Ex 92, who has three Storm sons, 2 EX and 1 VG; and 2 Storm daughters,1st calvers, scored VG 87 and VG 88. This family's forte has been high wide rear udders.
I would think that Amber's Storm would do reasonably well. Amber's best record was 3-2 2X 365 37,610 lbsm 3.8 1440f 3.2 1208p.

Re: Previous poll results
Hello mmt95
I just looked up the ASCOL bulletin and they say that Amber Storm should add about 100 more daughs. to his proof,I'm guessing that will be over the next year. Also Ijust re -checked and he is the overall #2 for type in Spain behind Gibson, his forte seems to be primarily udders and strength-capacity with good stature.I'll try and find out what happened with the other embryo's (it might take a while). If ther's any exciting daugs. that I hear about I'll let you Know.
Is Amber Mascot a daughter of Ivory Mark?I hope somebody from ASCOL read your post on the bulls dams lifetime prod.(thats starting to take on a bit more importance in some areas here)and about the classifying success of his full sisters,it should help them market the bull.

Re: Previous poll results
Hello ghz
Amber Mascot is a daughter of Ivory Mark, her last surviving one. Amber is a big cow, with plenty of strength and width. Her udder capacity comes from width. Even when last fresh it is above the hocks.
I thank you so much for the information on this bull.
