Re: Rugby

B Bird,

Robinson must play on the wing.
Lewsey is far more effective coming into the line from full back.
Can't really understand why Sir Clive has had Balshaw at fullback. Unless he's just experimenting?
We need an "on form" Dawson back in the starting line up, and Will Greenwood reminding that he could be "World Cup" history if he can't find another gear.

I think England's 1, 2 and 3 are already getting very excited about their meeting with Ireland at the weekend!!!!!

Lineouts will be interesting.

Rate o' connell very highly!!

Re: Rugby

Well done Ireland. Came with a plan and made it work.

England haven't played well against either Italy or Scotland, but have got away with it. Against Ireland we didn't.

I would like to start a petition to bring Martin Johnson back. Don't think this would have happened had he still been playing.

Pass the humble pie.

Re: Rugby

for give me for asking but how far are we in the comp?(semis?)
reason I ask is because if australia isnt playing (or winning) it's impossible to find results of what's happening.
this is one of our nations more regretible traits!

Re: Rugby

The 6 nation is round-robin, everyone plays everyone else. We have had 3 rounds of games. currently France have won all 3 of theirs, England lost to Ireland on Saturday, Ireland lost to France 3 weeks ago.

The match that wa meant to decide everything is the very last between England and France, but those naughty irish have gone and ripped up the script. But honestly, no-one is laughing at the English. emoticon emoticon

Re: Rugby

Well taken guys. I thought someone would of taken the bait. Clive certainly needs to think about his team positions/selections before the Welsh game or it could happen again.

Re: Rugby

imont, job to say what might happen against Wales.

Could be this was just a one off, a good kick up the ass will sort us out, and Wales might get an almighty hiding, but I'm not so sure.
The problems in the backs are because of people playing out of position, but the backs didn't get much chance against Ireland.
The pack wasn't hugely different to the one which won the world cup, so either they had an off day, or leadership was the problem, but once the wheels came off they had no answer.

Not sure Wales are quite ready to rub salt into the wound, but wouldn't bet against it.
Certainly France would be.
