Just have to say, what a finale!!
Awesome game of rugby last night.
England are certainly struggling to come to terms with the lack of Johnson, Back and Jonny, but you can't fault them for effort!!

I believe that they actually played really well, it's just that France were at the top of their game.
Deserved Grand-slam to France.

Congratulations Ireland, on your Triple Crown!!
You may even have the next Lions captain lurking in your second row.

Re: Rugby

Springbok tour of the UK starts next month. Last time we tried for the grandslam we tripped over England on the last hurdle. After 17 straight test wins and then this late season loss, coach Nick Mallet suffered a catastrophic brain malfunction and fired the captain Teichman. SA rugby went into the toilet for five years. Umpteen coaches and players later we managed to squeak home as Tri Nations winners this year after kicking Ireland's butt twice. We expect to smoke Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England. Watch out for Os DuRant, Schalk Burger and Bakkies Botha, they still think they are fighting the Boer war

Will be in Dublin for our revenge in a couple of weeks.

Os Du randt, that would be the fat lad that Scott Gibbs flattened on the last Lions Tour ?

looking forward to seeing your boys on a wet windy day, playing on good old Irish mud. Mind you, they looked pretty tasty in the tri-nations.

Scott Gibbs supposedly said to him 'I can see why they call you an ox, you fat git' after running through him on that tour.

Most sense i have ever heard from a welshman.

Thing is, it is almost impossible to predict the strength of your opposition at the moment. This may be your perfect opportunity to achieve the slam.

Whilst individually we all appear far from our best, it is uncannily difficult to come across and win four in a row. Usually someone produces a vintage performance to shatter a few dreams.

I believe Austrailia in '84 were the last to manage it.............and what a side that was!!!!!

Re: Rugby

This is true, we did it in 1961, the SA team in '98 was on a roll of seventeen straight test wins and couldn't do it. The Ireland and England games should be the big ones. Historically our biggest problems after success have been arrogance and then complacency, but hey we've got the 'fatboy' from the 95 World Cup champions and Percy with his highlights and all, how can we be beaten . . .

Smous, don't know how much you know about what's going on with England, but of the team that won the world cup only 2 are likely choices for the autumn tests, Tindall and Robinson.

The rest have either retired, are injured or haven't been the same since the world cup. Oh yeh, an the coach quit as well.

I reckon your toughest game might well be Ireland rather than England.
