Avoncroft (UK) employees take over sales activities   Employees of the British daughter company Avoncroft will take over the sales activities as from 1st May 2004. Recently, agreement on this has been reached with the executive board of CR Delta VRV. The continuing losses of Avoncroft were reason for the supervisory board of CR Delta VRV to decide to terminate the current way of marketing. The new Avoncroft owners will take up the sale of Holland Genetics semen from 1st May. Barbara Matthews, one of the shareholders: “There is a proven market for semen from Holland Genetics bulls. We are pleased with the opportunity to be able to take over the sale of these bulls.” Because of this initiative, semen from Holland Genetics bulls will continue to be available to British customers. The other Avoncroft activities (semen storage for private individuals as well as distribution of semen and liquid nitrogen) will be terminated in due course. Pleased with initiative Avoncroft was taken over in 2000. The British company got into stormy weather due to the FMD crisis in 2001. In spite of repeated reorganisations, efforts were not successful to get the company into the black. CR Delta VRV is pleased with the initiative of the Avoncroft employees. Executive director Jan Jansen: “the continuing losses compelled us to think about alternatives. Transferring the sales activities to employees is the best option for both parties.” CR Delta VRV wishes the Avoncroft employees every success with the sales activities. nondisclosed_email@example.com (friar)Wed, 12 May 2004 11:58:02 +0000 Re: Avoncroft Sireshttps://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p6991,from=rss#post6991https://bcowtalk.runboard.com/p6991,from=rss#post6991Does this mean Avoncroft will now only sell the Inimex bulls from CRI and Germany? This follows the decision of Continental parent company CR Delta VRV to stop marketing semen from Holland Genetics bulls in the UK. The pull-out was blamed on difficult trading conditions. But Avoncroft's David Matthews said the new business, which will be called Avoncroft Genetics, would increase profitability by reducing overheads. nondisclosed_email@example.com (friar)Tue, 11 May 2004 22:01:02 +0000
