Re: Virtual Sire analyst
Come on Mark, start the ball rolling, this site is like watching paint dry at the moment, personally I couldn't care less if Talent is BR, RC or ACDC

Re: Virtual Sire analyst
SIRES:
Durham 12
Morty 9
Freelance 8
Titanic 8
Talent 8
BW Marshall 6
Forbidden 6
Manat 4
Convincer 4
Roy 4
Jocko 3
Gibson 3
Journalist 3
Hillcrest 3
Blitz 3
Boss Iron 3
Sept Storm 3
High Metro 3
Principal 3
Champion 2
Boliver 2
DAMS:
Probably the least important thing about the selected dams would be their sire! Dams would be selected on the basis of extreme conformation and performance. Maternal line of pedigree should show consistantly high classication, with as much depth as possible. No compromise on type from the female side at all!! (therefore allowing us to be a little more adventurous with the chosen sires).
There is NO DOUBT that the females to fulfill these exacting criteria of pedigree and production do exist. They are often ignored because their deep-rooted families do not carry enough index to draw the neccessary attention.
AND FINALLY:
0 Maidens
30 Heifers
35 2nd Calvers
25 3rd Calvers
10 Mature Cows
Sorry for the delay!!

Re: Virtual Sire analyst
Smous,
Just for your benefit, and all in the name of provoking interesting discussion. Please find my alternative plan.
SIRES:
Mountain 20
Nedboy 20
Starwar 20
Sunnyboy 10
Cash 5
Bellwood 5
Nordkap 5
Mascot 5
Igale 4
Lieutenant 4
Logic 2
DAMS:
12,000kg+ 1st lactation.
top 2% for index.
average stature or below.
Non pedigree considered to extend gene pool.
Easy calving sire.
Sourced from self sampling herds only.
35 Maidens
65 1st(+ only) lactation.

Re: Virtual Sire analyst
Simon Powell, I'm deeply dissappointed.
You build up an image by handing your work in late, then go straight out and spoil it by doing it twice!!!
Next you'll be bringing in an apple for Mark.
--- Female families = firm foundations.
Milking generations of VG & EX from:- Mapel Wood Sheik Betsy EX, Portlea Ned Pamela EX94, Wrico Tempo Erma EX92, Bondhill Ultimate Tina EX91, Oak Ridges HS Kim EX.

Re: Virtual Sire analyst
Sorry Bird!!
Was just trying to be all things to all people.
Never have been "COOL".
But as for "hassled and badly organised", I think we may have invented the concept!!
