Re: Ridge-Star Journalist
so we wont be seeing DLC1 on any company paid AI junket trips to the USA?
the wide front teat placement would come thru from rotate who was notoriuos for shocking udders.
I steered clear of jed back in 92 when larry martin of then landmark tried to sell me some . his first proof showed that exactly. I think the mating itself was sound rotate on the best sweethaven tradition to be found.to date we havent any rotate blood in our herd.

Re: Ridge-Star Journalist
The journalists we have calved here certainly do not have shocking udders, they are very decent udders. I would like to see a bit more cover on the front teats but they are underneath the udder and point downwards, they don't go out the side.

No you won't see "DLC1" on any trips to the US!
Also Rotate may have his issues but Blackstar usually compensates for these shortfalls... I am a firm believer that you can't get a silk purse from a sow's ear nor breed rats from mice!

Re: Ridge-Star Journalist
Thats quite funny!!!
Are you mainly concerned about some "rodent" like qualities or do they suffer with crackling when you try to tune them in?????
