Re: Lystel Leduc??

So fae Outside has 10,000 2 year old records, but only the original test daughters have entered third lactation. As they must be at least third lact to become Ex in Canada, he hasn't got any yet. I would think Leduc is about the same.

When you find a second crop bull with an absolute no holes proof, please let us know. Until then can we please end this thread ? HELP

Re: Lystel Leduc??

when rereading all the above type breakdowns etc and looking at all the "positive " traits people want i have found the perfect bull!!
Sunnylodge linjet!!!
770 daus. 84%gp
22 ex - no poor
232 VG - 11 F
390 GP and 115 G
worst trait appears to be bone quality but that wouldnt be a problem on todays bloodlines!

Re: Lystel Leduc??

Just purchased a Leduc, dam is a Counselor x Tony x Valiant x Elevation x Bootmaker x Monitor. All E.X cows, the Leduc is due to calve in late Jan to Outside. Full sister was bred to Astronomical. Was about 5-6 of these Astronomical heifers in the sale, was very, very impressed by there size and scale, and correctness thoughout. Can see why there is so much hype about this young sire. Am going to start useing him a little myself.

I like the Leduc heifers too, but haven't been impressed with fresh Leducs I've seen. Have several Lystel Loyalist daughters milking now and I'm much happier with them as cows than the Leducs, although they weren't as good as heifers.

Leduc will be the same as Rudolph in my opinion, first being the hot new bull being heavily used, calving out everybody being dissappointed with them giving him bad reviews. Now you see the Rudolphs really devoloping after their 4-5 calf and I think Leduc will be the same.

I doubt it. Not in the real world - too big, too little milk, no longevity and high somatics.
