A.I. Which bull?

I am thinking of purchasing A.I. straws, which bull would you recommend for legs, feet and type?
I don't want to over spend, so maybe a test bull?
Thanks!

Hi cherrington

What is your price bracket? Problem with young bulls is that they don't always work as the pedigree suggests. Probably better using an older well proven bull which would work out cheaper in the end.

Try Comestar Leader .. I would think you could screw the price down to under 10 if semex are playing ball.

I guess our best high type sire for udders, legs and feet at low price would be Regancrest Mandelin. +[sign in to see URL] type, +[sign in to see URL] udders, +[sign in to see URL] F&L. He is a calving ease Mandel son from Dellia with a UK proof with 98% reliability for production and 93% type. Current offers equate to around [sign in to see URL] per dose. Not a production giant - hence price.

Bob,
You had a German Blackstar son from the Gloriette family that left some really honest cattle with great bone quality. I've gone and forgotten his name, but he was in the bargain bracket if you've still got some. Put me out of my [sign in to see URL]'m sure to remember when I'm trying to think of something else!!!!

I think your best bet would be to go with Outside although he is a bit costly at the mo. But if its a test bull your after Zenith has left some very black stylish showy calves and have just ordered 40 more straws of him!
