Judging comp results

We have a new judging competition only this time there is a twist!

Below you should see eight cows to place and to help you out there is a picture at the bottom to give you an idea as to what we should be looking for!

As with cowtalk tradition there will be no prize, just the honour!! Please post your placings on this thread, reasons are optional.

Re: Thanks to Alan A..............

What a twist, judging cows from 50 years ago. I can see why our cows today give so much more milk. Show cows of the '50's weren't necessarily good milk cows. Many were still milked by hand. Demanding milk in our show cows didn't happen until the late 60's.

In placing this class I found the worst and went up from there, placing them mostly on dairyness and udder capacity. "8" was a problem for me because we have a Bellwood that looks just like her, that is one of our top milkers. I would have liked to have put her first, but couldn't because of her big front teats. (I imagine that is one 50's trait that will stick around for a while thanks to Bellwood) Anyway I placed them in this order:

   7-5-6-8-2-3-1-4

Here's my best shot:

5, 2, 6, 7, 3, 4, 8, 1.

When I have 5 minutes I'll post my reasons, and then you can all laugh even more!!
