Re: Comestar leader daughters?
Actually I just looked him up he appears to have an impressive proof and is at 65% GP or better which is pretty good. Looked at his pedigree and after the first two dams the granddam is G-77 and after that nothing is scored it makes you wonder if he will be for real or not.

Re: Comestar leader daughters?
we've just calved our first leader daughters and I can see why the Canadians have used him so much. Average size, very correct with fantastic rear udder attachment, and giving more milk than I expected (30 litres plus). Better than the Lees, particularly on the rear udder.
If the next few calve in as well we shall put some more in the pot.

Re: Comestar leader daughters?
Big Bird - I'm not surpised, seen many daus of most of these Comestar bulls, and still think Leader is the 1st, and still the best Comestar bull. He fits what most want, and he will throw the odd real good one to boot.
At $15 he would be my choice for best bang for the buck.

Re: Comestar leader daughters?
Leader is probably the most consistent of the Comestar bulls. You get what you are supposed to get from him. The Leaders we have had have been uniform, however, they don't milk as well as the others. Lee daughters absolutely blow Leaders away for production in my herd.
--- Whether its type or index the bottom line is that all must milk.
