More and more show cows are in freestall barns. Maybe you should go see Windy-Knoll-View.
not only that but they have that hideous step up walk thru parlour where one slip and the teats are off forever.got there just in time to see their Rudolf (promise?) do the big lunge up and shuddered internally.Of course anything that cant step up the good foot aint gonna make it there.

Re:
Yea, their cows seem to do fine though.
I see more and more show herds in freestalls - maybe the big timers are in box stalls. But a lot of show herds are housed in freestalls now. Smaller groups for sure.

Re:
The older cow classes at Expo are going to be the real deal. Hailey will be there but I think there could be a great group of contenders to potentially defeat her.

Re: Expo
I know it's essentially a Nth American pedigree but I was surprised to see how many Goldsun daughters placed at Harrisville. Irrespective of pedigree rarely do the European type bulls get high usage like the nth american bulls, suggesting that his strike rate is somewhat impressive. Anybody seen many??

Re: Expo
Just calved in my first goldsun, she just went vg 85 at 2years 3months and only 12 days fresh ! Her dam is a ex 93 durham x vg outside x ex rudolph. Based on her pedigree she should be good. She has more rib and a higher and wider rear udder than her dam.I like her.

Re: Expo
I'm looking forward to seeing if anything that's doesn't
contain Goldwyn or sons for a sire can make a push
in any class's. And in the red show if any of the barbwires step up in cow class's he has done well in heifer class's.

Re: Expo
If you have not seen Pasta or Treasure in the Duckett string; go take a look. Both look better than ever.

Both 150K cows? That'll be the best class of the day then! I've loved both cows for a long time.
