UK Dairy Day
I was surprised no-one had posted about the UK's inaugural UK Dairy Day so I thought I better start this thread!
Congratulations to the organisers and the exhibitors as this was certainly the best show of Holsteins in the UK for a long time, possibly ever. The class of 13 mature cows was the highest standard I have ever seen in the UK, by some margin.
The classes weren't as large as some in the old National Holstein Show, but there was real quality most of the way down the line and each class was a credit to the exhibitors.
My only negative was the shortage of parking space for visitors, particularly for late arrivals like myself! Will have to show some cows next year and avoid that problem

Re: UK Dairy Day
It was however a pity that the show took place at a time when milk incomes are crashing:

Re: UK Dairy Day
Looks like a good show, great to hear the Meadleys speaking so sensibly and airing our views to Joe and Josephine Public, pity it wasn't broadcast beyond the Midlands!
--- Please Sir, I want some more, cos as we all know 'every little helps'!

Is UK Dairy Day A lot like World Dairy Expo?

It is very much in its infancy... 2014 was the first show! Although the classes were much smaller than those at WDE, the quality was exceptional. There is no seating around the ring, so the atmosphere is not quite as intense as at Expo.
It looks very much as if the UK Dairy Expo (in March) and the UK Dairy Day will become the "showman's shows" in the UK with the best turnout of top show cows.

Re: UK Dairy Day
Agri-Scot is at least as good a standard of cows as the two shows you mentioned Eryl.
